Diabetes Sucks!!!
I don't like it! I don't want it! But I've got it! And once you have it, you always have it. But I can do something about it and that is what this blog is about. My journey to better health and wellness. Yes, for the rest of my life!!!

.1:08:18.68/384/1,000.Holy mackerel!!! That's my fastest time. And who knew?!!! I have been slow the last few days. And even though I wasn't in a super amount of pain, my legs were not able to push fast like I would have liked. And to top it off, I started my monthly cycle on, of all days, Mother's Day!!! So, I go outside and start walking and I noticed immediately that my legs were like clouds. Light and fluffy!!! (Okay, marshmallows are also light and fluffy but...come on, do you think I'm going to compare them to that?!!!) I could have sprinted for the 5 miles if I had let myself! The entire walk, I felt great. No pains, breathing was fine, my baby toe healed without needing a bandaid..everything was right today!!! And, yes, I did get a lotto ticket this afternoon - before my walk! So, I hope tomorrow night's lotto drawing continues what today started!.Don't Stop Thinking About Tomorrow..
.Weight - 158 lbs..FBS - 97.I went to see my doctor today. He hadn't seen me since November. He was very happy to see that I had lost weight and that my FBS in Feb. (I saw the ARNP) was 90! He said to keep doing what I'm doing. My BP was 96/72 - WOO-HOO!!! I never had a problem with it - except when I was PG with Karl - Go Figure!!! And now, everything looks good. My waist measurement is 27" - down from 32"!!! I'm really excited, can you tell?.Everything looked good enough that I decided to go on the Lamisil pill for the toenail infection I have had for several years. I want my nails back so that I can wear polish on them. No topical has worked so far so I decided to try it with his okay..
.1:17:21.67/379/1,000.It's 88 degrees right now after my walk but the wind was heavy and there were plenty of clouds. Also, I am waiting until after 6:30 to walk as much as I can. I think I can handle the heat. It's the direct sunlight that is a killer for me. Even with water and Gatorade, I get dehydrated too much with the hot sun beating down. My time was slower than the last couple of days but I knew that would happen since I woke from a two hour nap to walk and my legs weren't quite awake yet! Now, they are rarin' to go!.Tomorrow will be an interesting day. I have a doctor's appointment at 10 am and I will see my regular doctor. He hasn't seen me since November and I know he will be surprised! I will have bloodwork done and I am hoping that my FBS will be down below 100 for this day. I know my weight will be much lower than when he saw me last and I hope my waist circumference is down by 3-4 inches, too..
