Whittling away two at a time. It was overcast until 3/4 way home. But, with the sun behind me after 6 pm, it was doable without overheating. I think I am tolerating more anyway. Plus, the inhaler is working longer. This humidity is killer, though1 YUCK!!!

So, I went to PF by myself for a quick upper body workout and did a mile in 10:30 on the elyptical (which I added to the count) and decided that I had to do my 5 mile walk/run. I figured I would go while the cloud was over the sun, thinking it might pile up and start an afternoon shower. By the time I got out there, the sun was back out but with many clouds looming around. At the 1 mile mark, where I usually run from mile 1 to mile 2, a cloud just happened to overtake the sun and it appeared to be long enough for my first running mile. As it turned out, it was exactly that. As I was approaching mile 2, where I resume walking, the sun peeked out and stayed out. So, on my return when it was mile 3, I decided not to chance it and run in the sun as it was about 92 degrees! At mile 4, another cloud overtook the sun and I was in business. Only, this time, I was pretty worn out even just walking in the heat. I ran until the sun came out once again, about 1/2 mile of running and finished the 5 miles in a respectable 1:13:40. I already had 2 glasses of Gatorade and I will do some stretches and shower.
