It seems as though I go through a "renewal" of sorts every time I walk. I am usually 1/2 to 3/4 done when I start the thinking process of what I am doing and why I am doing it. I come to the same conclusion each time. It's because I need it and I want to be successful within myself. I may not be able to do a lot of things. But this is one thing I can do and only I am in control of it. So, carry on...

I walked today. Slow, but I did it. The weather was cool and overcast. Windy to a degree but not enough to blow me over! I am still not 100% yet but I really felt bad not walking for two days. I hope to be feeling 100% by next Monday.

Rest times two

I took another needed day off. I'm not going to push myself when I'm not feeling up to par. I don't want to get stressed and then really sick in bed. Just laying low another day. BTW, I did get a lot accomplished around the house. Most of the Christmas decorations are down and all the candle "stuff" is put away. Plus, I made a full Mexican dinner. Yum!

Rest for a day

Today was my sister's birthday so I took her out for lunch. After I dropped her off I realized I needed to go grocery shopping for dinner before I went to Bunko tonight. So, in the haste of what I needed to do and not feeling "up to snuff", I decided to take the day off. I should be back top notch tomorrow for my 8th walk of the year. (My window of walking outside is at the latest 4:30 pm until sunset time is later.)

It was a fine walk today. The air was much cooler so I was able to wear a long-sleeved T. My time was good and I felt great afterwards.

Rain, rain, go away...

Today it was raining an hour before my walk. Along with thunder and lightning!!! How dare it?!!! So, I left my shoes in the closet and decided that it was meant to be. Something was making me not walk outside and although I could have walked on the treadmill, I thought I might take a day off since I walked 5 days last week. Rest is important, too. Okay, not exactly rest. We put away 75 % of our Christmas decorations!!! We still have a bit more to go but feel quite accomplished with what we did today.
