I finished my lancets to prick my finger for the FBS so I have decided that since the nurse practitioner said on Monday that I didn't have to take it every day that I will now cut back to once a week..Mondays along with my weight. So, this weekend I will get another box of lancets and start Monday!!! That's a good thing!!!

Yes, you may have noticed the time. It isn't a typo. I actually did my 5 miles in an hour ten and change!!! That is a 14 minute, 12 second mile!!! WOW!!! I attribute it to walking on the treadmill on Wed. night a bit faster than I normally walk and the fact that I had absolutely no pain whatsoever during the walk. I am also painfree now! It feels good to be this good. May it be the beginning of more great things to come!

Happy Van Halentine's Day!!!

Took the day off to catch up on some long needed errand running. I walked late last night so I will walk the next 4 days. NP there. (No Problem) Now I have to get ready for the Van Halen concert tonight. Tomorrow will be more catch up. I think I am getting caught up a little better than when the year started off. I still have a long way to go but I am on the right track. So much to do, so litle time!!! I remember those words so well and scoffed at them because I thought "that won't be me"! HAH!!! Life comes at you fast...be ready...or if not, get ready, better late than never!!!

On a good note, I achieved my Valentine's Day goal of wearing my red jeans to the concert. And they are a bit loose!!! WOW! I'm psyched!

The weather turned abruptly bad - windy, rainy ... so I decided to stay in and walk the treadmill. Boston Legal is a great show to watch while walking. I killed 2 birds with 1 stone.

Now, I am thinking about using my old "The Firm" VHS exercise tapes. Specifically the one with Janet Jones-Gretzky. Awesome workout and sculpting tape. I think I'm ready for it.

The Rest of the Day

Just work!!! I did several loads of clothes, washed dishes, went to curriculum night at the high
school and started my goal of scanning pictures. I was able to do 4 sets of my mom's pictures from 1981-82. Wow! This is going to take some time!!! Can you say arduous?!!! Actually, the rest of the day will begin now as I take out my contacts, brush my teeth and GTB (go to bed)!

Okay, now the blood sugar has been elevated for a time. But, I was indulging on Friday with more carbs than usual. I will have to watch acarefully this week and see if it drops back down. I also noticed that my weight has stayed the same. I know there are plateaus and I think this week was one. Hormones can play a part so i'm not worried. I can still fit in all the jeans I own (except for the CKs from college!) and nothing is really too tight so I can't complain.

Tomorrow is my big day. I will go to the doctor's for blood work and a follow up. He hasn't seen me since the beginning of November so he will see a big change. I am looking forward to seeing what my weight change and waist circumference change is. I know I will be praised for my efforts.
.
My walk was slightly slower than the two last week but I was still pleased with the pace. This week, I want to walk 5 days or maybe even 6. I want to work out two days and maybe start one of the workout videos I own. I will have to dust them off well, they are old. But, they are still going to be a challenge and that's all that matters.
