Diabetes Sucks!!!

I don't like it! I don't want it! But I've got it! And once you have it, you always have it. But I can do something about it and that is what this blog is about. My journey to better health and wellness. Yes, for the rest of my life!!!

Hotter than usual for this time of year...

It's hotter today than it has been. Tomorrow is supposed to be even hotter but then overnight, we are supposed to see a cold front come through that will bring the daytime temps down into the 50's and 60's! That will be really cool.

Eureka!!!

I didn't strike gold but I beat my fastest time and by 3 minutes!!! I wasn't trying to beat it by much but i had the wind to do it!!! I am elated tonight! I am almost at 700 miles. I know I won't hit 1,000 miles for the year but in my quest, some things just are meant to be adjusted. I did better by increasing my speed. The days I didn't walk/run was for a reason. The mileage means more time exercising and I have to find some happy median where it benefits me but doesn't take up too much time. 7 miles is okay once in a while but the time adds up over a long period. I will readjust my mileage for next year but I am already where I hoped to be by the first of the year, timewise!!!

The start of a new day...

Still maintaining - good weight, good FBS. I have to walk/run this afternoon.

Weird, I did my walk/run for Sunday and forgot to blog it! Hah! It was a good one again. Good time and good weather.

I keep forgetting to blog my times. And this one is one to remember. I did 5 miles in 12:07 per mile. That's my best so far. I was really excited about doing it that well. I ran more than I walked. Now, to keep it up. It will help the blood pressure and heart stay healthy.
