Very satisfied with today's events

I did my walk. Good pace and KJ stayed with me. Then I went to gardening and had a wonderful egg breakfast with Mexican corn cake, coffee and strawberries. We gardened for 2 hours...basically weeding and cutting back bushes. Then I came home to further garden in my own garden. I cut back the rest of my hibiscus, traveler's palm, yucca plant, umbrella plant and white bird-of-paradise. Used 5 containers for all the clippings and still have another 2 container's worth that I will have to wait until after they empty the 5 that I have!!! I got a small clipping from Linda to root and I want to plant the Shrimp plant from Jan out back with the Snow-On-The-Mountain that I got from Yolanda.

I would say I had a well needed rest. However, I walked more today than I probably do at one time. We went to EPCOT. Arrived there around 10:45 am and stayed until 10:30 pm! It was a long but enjoyable day/night. I was glad for the change of pace!

BTW, we didn't see Eli Manning there but he said he was going after the Super Bowl!!!

I also went to work out at Planet Fitness tonight since I won't be able to walk or w/o tomorrow. We are taking a leisure day off to go to the WDW theme parks with my brother. Even having lunch at Le Celliere...mmmmm!!!

I will be walking in the Husky Trot 5K this Saturday at 8 am with my younger son, KJ. My only goal is to walk it at my usual pace. I have gardening club right afterwards and then a leisure Saturday afternoon.

Today...not so much!!!

Okay, today wasn't the best day in terms of what I was hoping to achieve. I started off the morning by taking my blood sugar. I had a pork chop dinner last night complete with TWO helpings of mac and cheese, green beans, peas and cooked carrots. *sigh* The mac and cheese (namely the mac) did me in! I know I have to watch the carbs and I went totally overboard in the portion size I had. And the reality check is that I paid a price for it! Well, I look forward to tomorrow being a better blood sugar kind of day!

I sacrificed my walk for today by letting KJ have a friend over right after school, until 6 pm. My tail end window of opportunity for daylight walking is 5 pm start time. So, needless to say, I wasn't able to make that. And then Kent came home and hopped on the treadmill (I'm not complaining about that at all!) and then I let the rest of the evening go. So, I will get back on track for tomorrow.

Yes, I had a massage today! And boy was I ever moving!!! My legs were going ahead of me!!! I felt great today which is a high contrast from yesterday's walk. That's why I don't get all caught up in the time. As long as I get out there, I can't lose, well, I win and by winning, I'm losing!!! I'm the biggest loser, remember?!!!

A slow start today. I didn't really feeel like walking but I knew I had to. I couldn't keep up with my usual pace so I just trodded along as best I could. By the end, I felt like I had accomplished the day. I don't think it has to be a glorious, great moment where I did the best time, I just think that by getting out and attempting to complete my usual routine, that is a feat in itself. Especially when I wasn't feelingup to par anyway.

I wasn't feeling well yesterday when I woke up and had several sneezing fits and then the congestion that follows. Right now, I think I was fighting a cold or something but my body took care of it. Anyway, I didn't walk or do any exercise. Except to jump up and down wildly for the Giants because they won the champoinship! What a game! What a night! What a catch!!!
