Diamonds are a girl's best friend...

Some days are like diamonds, some days are like dust...

Today was a diamond day. I got up and went to Gardening Club (I love being with these people). To get outside and help others in their gardens is a special joy to me.

Then I did my walk. I decided not to stretch before the walk as Jonah had instructed me, saying that recent findings say that stretching after the walk is actually more beneficial and causes less problems. With the pain I had been having with the walks, I decided to listen to him today. After I walked (a quicker pace than usual), I felt really good..not as much pain in the hips. I took 20 minutes to stretch out my legs, calves and hips and then did 120 sit ups. Afterwards, I felt better than I have in two weeks! I think it also had something to do with the fact that I haven't been doing any racewalking. The change in the body movements may have contributed to the hip pain or even initialized it. Now that I am back to a regular walking style, I haven't had the same pains during the walk...that is yesterday and today. That may well be the best thing I've encountered so far this year. Today I learned something important to help me keep my goals intact. May it continue indefinitely!
